ONE NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKER ENGLISH TEACHER NEEDED

TEACH ENGLISH IN BEAUTIFUL SOUTHERN ITALY

One full-time EFL teacher is required to join our current team in beautiful southern Italy for the 2019/2020 academic year.
The contract runs from 10 October 2019 until the end of June 2020 with opportunities for a further academic year or more!

We teach general English at all levels from young learners to advanced and courses are taught both in-house in our modern, private school and externally in local state schools. Our teachers and staff are enthusiastic and professional and we promote a relaxed and friendly working environment.

The positions available would suit teachers who want an exciting experience and the opportunity for career development while experiencing Italian life and culture. Teachers may have the opportunity to be trained as Cambridge Examiners, providing them with extra qualifications, experience and an excellent hourly exam rate paid on top of their salary!

The School and Location: The British School is a well-established private language school and Cambridge Examination centre located in Maglie, a beautiful town in Salento, right at the bottom of the region of Puglia (the heel of the boot!). We are 10km from the stunning coastline with the seaside resorts of Otranto and Alimini on one side of the peninsular and Galipolli on the other. It is warm all year round here with sunbathing and beach time starting in March/April. The local beaches have turquoise water and white sand. The cost of living is not high down here and teachers manage to live well and save money. You can eat and drink like royalty in some of the best restaurants in Italy for very little.

The school has wifi and a comprehensive resource room with multiple copies of books for all levels. The Director of Studies is happy to order any resource book teachers may require. Photocopies are unlimited (respecting the environment!)and although classes follow course books and are focused on exam preparation, teachers are encouraged to be creative in the classroom and are given the freedom to design their own lessons and activities to suit the needs of their students.

How to Apply

If you are a flexible, reliable, innovative teacher who likes the sound of this excellent opportunity living and working in "la dolce vita" then email us your CV with a recent photo and email addresses of previous language school employers and we will arrange telephone/skype interviews at your convenience.
